Have to say this is the first HTML5 site I’ve been really impressed with. I’ll be the first to admit I have no idea what is being talked about but I love the presentation of various content with it being generated to sit neatly within the grid, and upon resizing the browser window the content easily reformats itself to fit within a new grid desirable for your browser window. All of which sits on top of some very nice background visuals which show off some HTML5 animation. The simplicity of the content comes into full effect when by viewing it, it simply brings it to an easily digestible blog format.

Congratulations in order to interactive art director Jim Hall, who has gone and won himself a prestigious Site of the Day on TheFWA. Quite rightly so, he’s crafted together a fun and innovative site which allows users to create another sort of music ‘track’. Lay down the road tracks and then by adding houses, street lights, or trees and bushes you get different notes play out as a car drives around. He’s already got some pre-made, including classics like ‘Beat It’ by Michael Jackson.
Not only a smart piece of Flash development, but some neat design and a lovely style of illustration similar to the likes of Eboy really helps bring character to the site.

Stumbled upon this great site, perfect to start the week with. Bubol is a wacky little flash site where you create yourself a bizarre looking monster and send him into battle against other users online. Alternatively you can just squash bugs which roam across the screen. There is a beautiful naive illustrative style setting the tonne of a fun, playful site which when you hit the ‘WTF’ button, gives the perfect reason why this site was created. Really looking forward to finding sites with similar ethos.

Created by Polish studio Hipopotam, which after further investigation has it’s own equally post-worthy website. A must visit for any creative. I’m currently enjoying their edits and snippits of pop culture interwoven with what looks like a baby hippo. Check out their t-shirt section too…

Teamgeist, a graphic novel game is a new online experience for Adidas created by North Kingdom.

The experience begins with some top quality video and design production, boosted with a slightly more stern version of the M&S voiceover lady. You then play a turn based version of 3 football games featured from the key World Cups Germany won. The game is a little repetitive, but the soundtrack to go with really gets you into the spirit of things.

As much as I enjoyed this, my only issue is how many England footy fans are going to want to play as Germany… Let’s just hope we get some quality promotions like this for England in the World Cup.

Nerdfilms have just opened up a wonderful digital office.

Not just any other desktop view website, this one has some great touches to it as well as being all stop-motion to add real character. Absolutely love the enter the office animation, as well as the peculiar cat answer machine video…

Fantastic little Czech based independant game studio Aminata has developed this rather beautiful point and click adventure game.
Amazing illustrative graphic art from Adolf Lachman combined with the character animation from Vaclav Blin it really puts this game in a league of it’s own.

New advertising campaign for Amnesty International, in which they’ve called upon the illustration styles of Eboy to say “Poverty is a human rights violation. Demand dignity on www.1millionclicksagainstpoverty.org”.

The advertising leads you to the website 1millionclicksagainstpoverty.org, an interactive version of Eboy’s illustration where you can click on some of the 1 million pixels available to help reveal the poster from it’s tinted out state.

Some really nice interactive content from The Editors, an english rock band are promoting their new album with some interesting Google Street View material. Their third album, In This Light And On This Evening is heavily influenced by London, and through the Editors hacked version of Google’s Street View you can search through the streets of London. Upon reaching specific hotspot areas, tracks from their album are played, with accessible hidden content relating to the songs.

The Asylum 626 is another great horror website from Doritos. Following on from their successful Hotel 626 site, this time see’s much the same scare tactics and atmospheric design enhanced by great interactive content.

The site also includes a Twitter sync and Facebook connect, a rather nice tool which allows the user sync up with their facebook account so the rich flash content can pull in pictures and information to enhance the experience.

Particulary liking when you have to choose which Facebook buddy you want to save…

A really nice take on the classic phone prank viral websites, Lean Mean Fighting Machine have created theSpeechbreaker, a viral site which let’s you create your own party political speech.

Picking either Brown, Cameron or Clegg gives you a series of words to enter which have been cut from various speeches. Click on words such as ‘overnight’, ‘party’, ‘nurses’, and they enter into the speechfield giving you your very party political speech to upload to youtube.

If you take a look at the dialogue available for the Lib Dem’s Nick Clegg, you get soon get an idea who this was funded by…
