So apparently 2010 is the year we’ll all be going turquoise, PANTONE 15-5519 Turquoise to be precise. Pantone are shouting about it in a pretty big way too (read their press release here); according to the colour Gods “Turquoise inspires thoughts of soothing, tropical waters and a comforting escape from the everyday troubles of the world, while at the same time restoring our sense of wellbeing.”
Sounds like 2010 is going to be a cracking year…

Personally I can see the colour probably working well in product design and perhaps fashion but I’m keeping an open mind about seeing it in print and how this will work out in web RGB, is anyone’s guess, but we’ll just see in a year’s time…

Meanwhile I’m celebrating by getting myself set with some of the above trainers, maybe some turquoise lipstick, and hanging out with this crazy cat.

I blimmin’ love Ian Stevenson. He’s got a new website over at ianstevenson.co.uk featuring some new material.

He’s also used his unique illustrations to create the above charming little video ‘Stare Into The Sun’ about a man going on a crazy little journey whilst in pursuit of his lost balloon. Combined with the musical talents of Graffiti 6 and some very fine animation work by Alex Dobbin, Ian Stevensons visionary style is brought to life in a whole new fantastical adventure.
