Really nice collaborative animation. Blu has done it again, last time over 5 million people saw his Muto animation on Youtube. Now he and David Ellis have got together to create another wonderful animation. Love how each artists’ work emerges from one another, almost like a big graffiti game of chess, all in raw stop-motion.

Where the Wild Things Are – featurette
Nice little featurette for greatly anticipated Where the Wild Things Are movie. Maurice Sendak talks largely about Spike Jonze take on his story and illustrations, whilst giving background info on the difficulties of creating his work. I personally cannot wait for this movie to come out. It looks amazing.
Check the featurette and trailer in awesome quality with HD on Apple trailers.
The Beatles – Rock Band
Great site by AKQA for the The Beatles Rock Band. Catch the bus to explore different areas representing their cultural eclecticism and stylistic shifts throughout their career. Each section houses great 3D and visual work as well as informing interesting facts about the band.
Tales of mere existence – Procrastination
Thanks over to the sweatyyetti for linking me up. Love the simple, laid back animation style from Lev Yilmaz. Also great voice over, reminds me the DJ from the ‘super sounds of the seventies’ off Reservoir Dogs. Very interesting…
folding bike
Quite often the simple things are the best. Nice ad for LA bicycle folding bike by Ogilvy.
nicola ellen
Catch some nice work from budding illustrator Nicola Ellen. Love the use of colour and composition, worth keeping an eye on.

Axe Day & Night

“To complete this ad send AXE to 2345 after 9pm”
Nice campaign for Axe, using digital & viral advertising. The ad, with missing content, asks the user to text “AXE” after 9pm where they receive the rest of the risqué image to your mobile phone. From agency Lowe Ginkgo to promote the new Axe Day and Night fragrances. One being suitable for general audiences. The other, not.
slap viral
Some friday fun curtosy from the Hirsute. Who would you rather slap? Always appreciating interactive youtubing.
converse domaination
Really nice creative campaign for Converse. I can’t get over how much creativity and nice content has gone into all of this. Anomaly created this large digital campaign by focusing on what young people where actually googling for. Using the phrases being typed in, such as ‘how to kiss’ the google results find would bring a short content site based on exactly that. From there you can then link to other URL created specifically for the campaign. From finding that mothers day is the day for moms, you then go to at least your mom is not a praying mantis, then the ants wont wait for you to drive a race car, and so on…
To see the full list use the converse index page, check out this nice little video for more details on how Anomaly did it all. Great stuff.
Thanks Hirsute for linking me up.
